A great post by @CraigMah on some educational resources that I’ll try to be reading over this summer!
It’s always an engaging conversation to discuss educational leadership. Simply, we are often “doing”; rarely “thinking” of why we do it. Conversations with colleagues provides a chance to reflect on my practice. Conversations usually end with someone asking what books have I found helpful. I’ve found it helpful to keep track of what books have influenced me. I always include my PLC Toolkit with my Professional Growth Plan. It’s a way of measuring what new books I’ve read over the year.
There is no single book that describes educational leadership. This began as a bibliography for my Professional Growth Plan but I’ve began writing quick reviews and summaries of the books. I’ll update as time permits. This is not an exhaustive list, but consider it my “Greatest Hits”.
