Today, there will be a twitter chat through #BCEdChat on assessment strategies. I thought I would post a few of the more influential books/resources that I have used to improve my own assessment strategies. Most of these are well known, but they have changed my thinking in one way or another throughout the years.
Any Ken O’Connor book would be a useful start, especially the Repair Kit for Broken Grades.
I would also recommend Karen Hume’s work on engagement and assessment to reach struggling students. Tuned Out is a great resource for introducing more reluctant teachers into technology.
Carolynn Chapman also has some great assessment strategies.
Finally, anything by Faye Brownlie (especially her work with Leyton Schnellert and Carole Fullerton).
Just some thoughts on resources.
