This past year was full of firsts for me: I watched a whole batch of grade nines come into our school and followed them through their first year of secondary school; I completed observations and evaluations of several teachers; I worked with counsellors and other staff to help our struggling students reach part way to their potential; and I learned that my leadership style is evolving.
I used to think that being in adminstration, the leadership opportunities would be apparent. If someone asked what I did that day, I thought I would be able to say: I lead the school to improve in this area, that area and helped many students and staff overcome adversity or challenges.
